What happens in Daniel and the Lions' Den?
- Daniel serves King Darius and is trusted above the other officials
- Officials trick the king into signing a decree against praying to anyone but the king
- Daniel keeps praying toward Jerusalem three times a day
- Daniel is thrown into the den of lions
- God sends an angel who shuts the lions' mouths
- Daniel is found unharmed in the morning
Daniel 6:21-23
21Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever. 22My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions’ mouths, and they have not hurt me; forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt. 23Then was the king exceeding glad, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he had trusted in his God.
